Booking Policy

I book headshot sessions Thursday through Monday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Booking two weeks in advance is recommended, however, immediate bookings are sometimes available. Since we are open both Saturday and Sunday, the studio is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Consultations

As a policy I do not schedule separate consultations, instead I build the consultation into your headshot session.  We will discuss the types of shots you want to get, the kinds of roles you are going out for, and get to know each other before we start shooting.  This is one of the ways I am able to keep my prices so low. I do however encourage you to feel free to call and ask me any questions you may have prior to your shoot.

Deposit

I require a $50 non refundable deposit due at the time of booking.  A deposit is taken to reserve your time and to ensure that you fully understand that you have booked time with the photographer and makeup artist.  This policy is designed to ensure that everyone involved has the best possible experience. We want clients that are serious about their commitment, as we are equally committed to providing some of the best headshots New York City has to offer.

Makeup Artist

I work with Sara Melton Ugino, an excellent New York based makeup artist who specializes in doing makeup for headshots. She is great at making you look like YOU at your best. The final result will look as natural, clean, and fresh or as made-up and specific as you desire.

Hair

I recommend that you come to your headshot session with your hair styled as you would wear it to an audition or nice occasion. The makeup artist may make slight adjustments, and help make it camera ready. The idea behind you doing your own hair is that when you show up to an audition or to a meeting with an agent, you look like you do in your headshot. If you feel that you need more than that, just ask when you are booking your headshot session, and we will schedule extra time, and for an additional charge you can have your hair professionally styled here.

Payment

I accept payment in full by cash or credit card on the day of your session.
